NSC Warns of Consequences as AIU Questions AFN Over Age Falsification

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has issued a warning following queries by the Athlete Integrity Unit (AIU) to the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) regarding age discrepancies of 16-17-year-old athletes in the 2025 African U18 U20 Championship. The NSC vows to punish officials responsible for any wrongdoing and demands AFN to provide necessary documentation for verification.

AFN officials, including Gabriel Okon, are urged to address the issue to restore confidence and prevent international embarrassment. The AFN is under scrutiny for potential age manipulation and violations of the World Athletics Technical Regulations.
