NSCDC Arrests Four Suspected Drug Dealers in Kano

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, arrested four suspected illicit drug dealers in the Gaida area of Kumbotso Local Government Area. The arrests occurred during a covert operation by the Corps’ Counter Terrorism Unit based in Dorayi Babba, Gwale Local Government Area.

The operation followed credible intelligence regarding illicit drug activities in the area. The suspects, identified as Abubakar Abdullahi (35), Rabiu Baffa (25), Aminu Lawan (35), and Ibrahim Idris (33), all residents of Gaida, were found in possession of four sachets of Pregabalin 300mg capsules, dozens of Diazepam tablets, three tubes of Oshin Solution, and 20 parcels of suspected marijuana.

NSCDC State Commandant Mohammed Agalama warned against drug abuse, emphasizing its threat to public safety and youth well-being. The suspects and recovered items will be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and legal action.

Agalama reiterated the NSCDC's commitment to collaborating with other security agencies to combat drug-related offenses.
