NSCDC Arrests Motorcycle Syndicate Kingpin in Lafia

On September 8, 2026, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arrested Salihu Ahmadu, known as “Officer” or “Boss,” in the Gandu area near the Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State. This arrest followed his identification as the alleged kingpin of a motorcycle syndicate during a parade of suspects on August 14, 2026, where he was initially at large.

The NSCDC's Public Relations and Strategic Communications Officer, SC Jerry Victor, stated that the Command intensified intelligence-led operations to apprehend Ahmadu. State Commandant Brah Samson Umoru commended the personnel involved for their commitment to justice and assured residents that the NSCDC would continue to dismantle criminal networks through intelligence gathering and community partnerships.

Ahmadu will face prosecution alongside other gang members in a court of competent jurisdiction. The NSCDC urged the public to provide credible information to assist in combating criminal activities in the state.
