NSCDC Arrests Motorcycle Theft Syndicate in Nasarawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, arrested members of a suspected motorcycle theft and documentation syndicate in Lafia. The arrests were made following credible intelligence and operational efforts.

The suspects apprehended include Bello Usman (21), Ahmad Haruna Wakili (29), identified as the alleged ring leader, Umar Ibrahim Mohammed (22), and Abass Ibrahim, who is suspected of producing fake receipts. Two additional suspects, Musa Auta (known as “Boss”) and Salihu Ahmadu (known as “Super”), are currently at large.

Preliminary investigations suggest the syndicate was involved in motorcycle theft, identity alteration, and fraudulent document production. Recovered items include a Jincheng motorcycle, various motorcycle number plates, tools, and suspected illegal substances.

SC Jerry Victor, the command’s public relations officer, urged the public to report suspicious activities related to motorcycle theft and fraudulent documentation. The NSCDC also invited individuals who may have lost items corresponding to those recovered to visit their headquarters in Lafia with proof of ownership.
