Ten Okada Riders Killed by Snatchers in Nasarawa

In Nasarawa, Yahaya, the chairman of the Okada riders' association, reported that ten motorcycle riders have been killed in two months due to attacks by motorcycle snatchers. Yahaya attended the funerals of all victims and detailed the brutal methods of the attacks, including instances where riders were struck with clubs or stabbed.

He noted that the security situation has worsened despite previous government measures that provided temporary relief. Most attacks occur at night, particularly between the Maghrib and Isha prayers, with criminals disguising themselves as passengers or mechanics.

Yahaya mentioned a specific case where a rider was deceived by a criminal wearing a rider's jacket. He also highlighted a suspect who has snatched over five motorcycles using a gun.

Abduljalal Muhammad recounted the murder of his brother, Yusuf Muhammad, who was shot while demanding payment from a passenger. The incident occurred on Makurdi road, and Abduljalal criticized the lack of response from local task force officers.
