NSE Awards Gov Sule for Infrastructure Development Efforts

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) honored Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule with its Presidential Merit award for his administration's investments in infrastructure, engineering education, technical training, and human capital development. NSE National President Ali Rabiu announced the award during a courtesy visit to the governor at the Government House in Lafia.

This recognition followed a two-day inspection tour of major projects in the state, including the Mararaba twin flyovers, Diamond New Energy lithium plant in Endo, Keffi flyover, and various educational institutions. Rabiu noted that the Mararaba and Keffi flyovers were progressing satisfactorily at approximately 50% and 70% completion, respectively.

The Diamond New Energy lithium plant is expected to process about 6,000 tonnes daily and create over 1,000 jobs. Rabiu also commended the Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute for training around 10,000 beneficiaries and highlighted the need for improved infrastructure and accreditation at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
