Olabisi Joseph Elected First African ISF President

Mrs. Olabisi Temitope Joseph, the President of the Nigeria School Sport Federation (NSSF), was elected as the International School Sport Federation (ISF) Continental President for Africa on Tuesday, 21st July 2026.

This election occurred during the 2026 ISF General Assembly held in Belgrade, Serbia, which saw participation from 82 countries and 79 votes cast globally. With this election, Mrs.

Joseph becomes the first female in Africa and the first in the history of the ISF to hold this prestigious continental position. The NSSF expressed that this achievement reflects Nigeria's growing leadership and influence in the development of school sports across Africa and the world.

The NSSF, along with its executives, state coordinators, management, staff, and Nigerian students, celebrated this milestone and pledged full support for Mrs. Joseph as she undertakes her new responsibilities to advance school sports for African children.
