NUJ FCT and Police Pension Limited Partner on Misinformation

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council, led by Chairman Grace Ik, has committed to a media partnership with Nigeria Police Pension Limited, represented by Managing Director Mr. Muham Duts, to combat misinformation surrounding police pensions in Nigeria.

During a courtesy visit to the journalists' headquarters in Abuja, Grace Ik emphasized the critical role of media in democracy and the importance of accurate information dissemination. She expressed solidarity with retired police officers regarding their pension payments and welfare, acknowledging the challenges they face, including recent protests over pension adequacy.

Mr. Muham Duts welcomed the partnership, stressing the need for transparency and accurate public information about the pension system, which has faced significant challenges over the past two decades.

The partnership aims to educate the public and promote accountability in pension administration while addressing the unique risks associated with police work.
