NUJ FCT and Police Pension Limited Partner on Misinformation

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council, led by Chairman Grace Ik, has committed to a media partnership with Nigeria Police Pension Limited to combat misinformation surrounding police pensions. During a courtesy visit to the pension organization's headquarters in Abuja, Grace Ik highlighted the critical role of the media in promoting democracy and ensuring accurate information dissemination.

She expressed solidarity with retired police officers regarding their pension payments and welfare, advocating for fair treatment and dignity for retirees. Mr.

Muham Duts, the Managing Director of Nigeria Police Pension Limited, welcomed the partnership, emphasizing the need for the media to help communicate the organization's efforts and challenges in the pension sector. He noted that despite operating for two decades, public understanding of the pension system remains inadequate, particularly concerning police pensions.

Both parties agreed to deepen cooperation to enhance public education and accountability in pension administration.
