Ned Nwoko Denies Fresh Paris Club Refund Allegations

Senator Ned Nwoko has publicly dismissed new claims related to the Paris Club refund, citing multiple clearances from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In a statement issued by his media team in Abuja on Friday, Nwoko characterized the reports as distorted and part of a campaign to misinform the public.

He emphasized that the matter has been thoroughly investigated and settled, with no new claims substantiated. Nwoko noted that at least four separate investigations by the EFCC have been conducted regarding the Paris Club refund, including a recent review ordered by the current administration.

He stated that all contractual work has been duly executed and that there remains an outstanding balance due as per established agreements. Furthermore, he condemned the involvement of individuals like Georg Uboh and Omoyele Sowore in perpetuating what he termed a misinformation campaign and indicated that appropriate legal steps would be taken against those spreading defamatory narratives.
