NYSC DG Praises Nigerian Army for Corps Members' Safety

Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), commended the Nigerian Army for its efforts in ensuring the safety of corps members across the nation. This commendation was made during a courtesy visit to Major General Folusho Oyinlola, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army.

Nafiu noted that the success of the NYSC is heavily dependent on a secure environment, highlighting that the scheme cannot thrive in insecurity. He disclosed that there are currently 7,000 corps members serving in Plateau State, contributing to the socio-economic development of the area.

Nafiu also mentioned ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing operational efficiency within the NYSC. Major General Oyinlola praised Nafiu for his achievements and reaffirmed the commitment of the 3 Division to ensure the safety and security of corps members within its area of responsibility.
