NYSC Appeals for Increased Allowances in Kaduna State

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kaduna State, represented by the state coordinator Mr. Efek Murna Dadaza, has appealed to the Kaduna State government for an increase in feeding allowances and monthly stipends for corps members.

This request was made during the closing ceremony of the 2026 Batch Stream II orientation course at the NYSC temporary orientation camp. Dadaza highlighted the necessity of enhancing the welfare and living conditions of corps members deployed in the state.

She praised the Kaduna State government for its support and urged for an improved feeding package during orientation and a review of the monthly stipend to better incentivize corps members. Governor Uba Sani, who was represented by Gloria Ibrahim, emphasized the importance of the NYSC scheme for national unity and grassroots development.

He encouraged corps members to accept their postings in good faith, particularly in rural areas, and to actively contribute to community development.
