NYSC Disowns Fake Redeployment Notice Circulating Online

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a warning regarding a fraudulent notice that has been circulating online, claiming that a special redeployment window for corps members is now open. The notice, labeled as “URGENT NOTICE: NYSC REDEPLOYMENT,” was directed at “Parents/Guardians” and falsely stated that the redeployment was due to “issues of National Security, Health, and State of the Nation.” It encouraged corps members with legitimate reasons to apply quickly for their safety and proper placement.

The NYSC, led by Director-General Olakunle Nafiu, flagged this notice as fake on its verified X handle, marking it with a “FAKE NEWS” watermark. The organization emphasized that all deployment and redeployment processes are managed exclusively through its official portal and offices, and it does not authorize any agents or phone-based processing for such requests.

The NYSC has urged corps members and the public to verify any communications through its official website and social media before taking any action or making payments.
