OK Movement Warns Against Intimidation of Peter Obi

The OK Movement, a political group backing Peter Obi's 2027 presidential campaign, issued a warning against further intimidation of its members following an attack on Obi during his humanitarian visit to Yelwata in Benue State. The Nigeria Patriotic Youths Forum condemned the incident, labeling it an abuse of power.

Hon. John Ughulu, the National Director General of the OK Movement, alleged that individuals mobilized by elements within the state government were responsible for the attack. The group emphasized its commitment to peaceful democratic participation and called for a thorough investigation by security agencies.

The OK Movement asserted that Obi, like other presidential aspirants, has the constitutional right to campaign anywhere in Nigeria. They stressed that political violence and intimidation should not replace democratic competition, stating that they would take lawful countermeasures to protect their members if their safety is threatened.
