Peter Obi Promises Unity and Care in Kaduna Town Hall

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate, made a pledge during a town hall meeting in Kaduna to end the politics of tribalism and religion if elected. He stated that his administration would focus on promoting unity, love, and care among Nigerians.

Obi emphasized the need for a political system driven by the demands and needs of citizens rather than politicians making empty promises. He clarified that the purpose of the meeting was to listen to citizens and understand their challenges, rather than to campaign.

Obi also mentioned his visit to an Islamiyya school in Kaduna to assess its condition and stressed that policies should be based on the realities on the ground. Additionally, he promised to strengthen the partnership between the president and vice president in addressing the country's challenges.

NDC vice-presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso remarked on the large turnout at the meeting, indicating the party's growing strength ahead of the 2027 elections.
