The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the personal particulars and nomination documents of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), and his running mate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, for the 2027 general election. This publication, made public on Saturday, aligns with Section 29(3) of the Electoral Act 2026, mandating the disclosure of candidates' details for public scrutiny.

Obi's Form EC9 states his occupation as a public servant and lists his residential address in Onitsha, Anambra State. His educational background includes a First School Leaving Certificate from St. Augustine’s Primary School (1973), a West African School Certificate from Christ the King College (1978), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1984).

He also submitted his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate, confirming completion of service from May 1985 to May 1986. INEC officials confirmed that these documents will be displayed in all state offices and constituencies.
