Houston Rally to Boost Diaspora Support for Nigeria 2027

Obidient Connect Texas has announced a grand rally scheduled for October 10, 2026, in Houston, aimed at mobilizing support among Nigerians in the diaspora ahead of Nigeria’s presidential election on January 16, 2027. The rally, set to begin at 12 noon, will focus on accelerating registration on ObidientConnect.com, expanding grassroots organization, and encouraging lawful contributions to support citizen-led electoral infrastructure.

Prof. Sam Osemene, the leader of Obidient Connect Texas, emphasized the importance of translating diaspora passion into structured action. The event will feature goodwill messages from Mr. Peter Obi, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, and Prof. Pat Utomi, leader of the Big Tent Coalition.

Participants will receive guidance on official donation channels and are urged to avoid informal collections to maintain transparency. The rally aims to strengthen the organizational capacity needed across Nigeria’s polling units and ensure that the will of the people is expressed and counted in the upcoming election.
