Kogi Governor Declares State Safe from Criminals

During a recent inspection visit to the newly established 21 Battalion barrack in Anyigba, Kogi State, Governor Usman Ododo stated that Kogi is no longer a safe haven for criminals. He commended President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to strengthening security architecture across Nigeria, particularly in Kogi State.

Ododo noted that the presence of military formations has significantly improved security in Kogi East, leading to a drastic reduction in cases of kidnapping, armed robbery, and communal conflicts. He emphasized that criminals no longer have a market in Kogi State and that the government will continue to confront criminal activities until there are no hiding places for them.

The governor acknowledged the support from the federal government, including the approval for necessary air support for security operations. He reiterated the administration's determination to invest heavily in security, asserting that protecting lives and property remains a top priority.
