Kogi Governor Ododo Enhances Welfare for NYSC Members

Kogi State Governor Ododo assured the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) leadership, led by Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, of his administration's commitment to improving the welfare and security of corps members. During a meeting at the Government House in Lokoja, Governor Ododo expressed confidence that his tenure would bring reforms to strengthen the NYSC's contributions to national development.

He highlighted the importance of providing a safe and secure environment for corps members throughout their service year. The governor noted that security for residents and visitors remains a top priority.

He revealed plans for comprehensive renovations and upgrades to the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Asaya, engaging architects for the project. Ododo also addressed the issue of delayed monthly payments to corps members, describing the situation as unacceptable and pledging to resolve it.
