Oduyoye Resigns from Oyo State Advisory Council

Hon. Babatunde Oduyoye, a former Chief Whip of the Alliance for Democracy in the House of Representatives and the Babameto of Ibadanland, has resigned from the Oyo State Advisory Council.

His resignation letter, dated July 24, 2026, was addressed to Governor Seyi Makinde via Chief Bolaji Ayorinde SAN, the Chairman of the Advisory Council. Oduyoye, who represented the Ibadan North West/South West Federal Constituency from 1999 to 2007, stated that personal exigencies have constrained his ability to continue serving on the Council.

He expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve and commended the Council for its contributions to governance in Oyo State. Oduyoye's resignation takes immediate effect, and he wished the state success in its democratic journey.
