Ogboru Wins ADC Governorship Primary in Delta State

Chief Great Ogboru has been declared the winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship primary election in Delta State, held as part of the preparations for the 2027 general elections. The primary concluded on a Monday at the ADC state secretariat in Asaba, where the chairman of the ADC primary election committee, Patrick William, announced the results.

Ogboru received 38,151 votes, defeating his opponent, Dr. Emmanuel Unuaf, who garnered 1,182 votes. William commended the party members and delegates for a peaceful and orderly process, ensuring that all aspirants were given equal opportunities in line with the party's constitution and electoral guidelines.

He emphasized the importance of unity within the party as they prepare for the upcoming elections. Following the announcement, supporters of Ogboru celebrated at the party secretariat, expressing optimism about the ADC's strength in the 2027 governorship elections.
