Enforcement of Ogombo Land High Court Judgement Begins

The enforcement of the High Court judgement concerning Ogombo land in Eti-Osa, Lagos State, is currently being executed following a ruling by the High Court of Lagos State. The case, which involves interests related to the estate of the Late Iyalode Efunroye Tinubu and the Kosoko royal family, was adjudicated by Hon. Justice O.O.

Ogunjobi, who delivered the judgement on November 12, 2024, at Court 37, Lands Division. The judgement adopted the Terms of Settlement agreed upon by the parties, granting it full legal effect.

Mr. Shafiu Kassim Lumosa represents the Efunroye Tinubu Estate, authorized by a Power of Attorney from Madam Efunroye Tinubu through Chief Adamakin Akinfolabi. The settlement pertains to a 114.476-hectare parcel of land at Ogombo Village, identified under Survey Plan No.

OGJ/5283/006/2023/LA, dated October 26, 2023, and includes a ₦1.5 billion compensation to be paid within 45 days. The enforcement process is supported by a directive from the Inspector-General of Police, as detailed in a letter dated July 30, 2025.
