APC Aspirant Abayomi Hunye Questions Party Suspension

Abayomi Hunye, a governorship aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State for the 2027 election, has publicly criticized the party for suspending him while simultaneously selling him a ₦50 million nomination form. The APC has disowned Hunye, reaffirming Solomon Adeola, known as Yayi, as the legitimate candidate.

In an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Hunye stated that he received and completed the nomination and expression of interest forms, passing the screening process, where he was listed as number 52. He highlighted the inconsistency of being suspended on April 7 and then being charged for the nomination form on April 28, questioning the legitimacy of the party's actions.

Hunye maintains he has the receipt for the form and insists he was recognized as a valid candidate during the primary election held on May 21.
