Ogun CP Bode Ojajuni Honors 39 Officers for Service

On September 30, the Ogun State Commissioner for Police, Bode Ojajuni, held a commendation ceremony at the Police Officers’ Mess in Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta, honoring 39 officers, including five retired and 34 serving members of the Ogun State Police Command. Ojajuni described policing as a taxing and stressful profession, deserving recognition for the dedication and sacrifices made by officers to protect lives and property.

Among those honored was DST Anifat Bello, a notable traffic officer who retired in August and was previously recognized by the Inspector General of Police. Other retirees included CSP Salami Murphy, DSP Olaifa Emmanuel, DSP Ayanlola Olatunji, and DST Saanu Johnson.

Serving officers who received commendations included SP Shittu Bamidele, SP Gbenga Ademola, SP Balogun Sherrif, ASP Olupona Helen, and ASP Jimoh Lasisi. Ojajuni stated that the initiative aligns with the Inspector General’s efforts to honor officers for distinguished service and to motivate current officers to excel in their duties.
