Ogun East Muslim Coalition Backs PDP's Femi Omotayo

The coalition of Muslim organizations and stakeholders in the Ijebu zone has officially endorsed Abdulhamid Femi Omotayo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ogun East senatorial district, for the upcoming 2027 general election. This endorsement occurred during a consultation visit by Omotayo and a delegation of PDP leaders to the coalition’s secretariat in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Omotayo presented his senatorial ambitions and sought the coalition's support. Alhaji Biodun Mebude, speaking on behalf of the delegation, praised Omotayo as a visionary leader committed to community development and humanitarian service.

Alhaji Kehinde Lawal, the coalition's convener, noted that this was the first time a senatorial candidate prioritized the coalition for consultation, urging members to mobilize resources in support of Omotayo. He emphasized that the 2027 election should focus on competence and effective representation rather than party affiliations.

Ustadh Shittu Gihath also commended Omotayo for his long-standing commitment to serving humanity.
