Ogun East PDP Candidate Omotayo Launches Campaign

Abdul Hamid Femi Omotayo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Ogun East, officially launched his campaign with rallies in Sagamu, Ijebu-Igbo, and Ijebu-Ode, attended by notable PDP leaders including Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu and Alhaja Lateefat Kolapo Sowunmi. Omotayo pledged to provide effective legislative representation, focusing on infrastructure development and equitable resource distribution across the nine local government areas if elected in the 2027 elections.

He urged PDP supporters to enhance grassroots mobilization and utilize their votes to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Omotayo expressed confidence in his qualifications compared to his opponent and stated that he was motivated to contest due to the absence of a strong candidate from Ijebu-Ode.

He called for PDP members to engage voters actively, while Sowunmi encouraged women to lead house-to-house mobilization. Adebutu endorsed Omotayo, highlighting the need for change due to poor public services.
