Ogun Police Arrest Edebiri Temitope for Neighbor's Death

The Ogun State Police Command arrested 43-year-old Edebiri Temitope in relation to the death of his 38-year-old neighbor, Oje Michael Eje, in Mowe, Ogun State. According to police spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi, the incident arose after Eje was accused of hugging and playing with Temitope's three-year-old child, which allegedly angered Temitope.
The police reported that Temitope considered Eje's interaction as "rough play" and subsequently attacked him with a bamboo stick, leading to Eje's death. Eje, a university graduate with a degree in Guidance and Counselling, was reportedly beaten until he collapsed.
Initially, Temitope fled with his family but was later apprehended and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation.
