Ogun Farmers Trained on Sustainable Tomato Production for Improved Livelihoods

In Ogun State, 100 smallholder tomato farmers were trained by Futux Agri Consult Limited and Heifer International on sustainable tomato production. The initiative aimed to improve livelihoods through modern agricultural practices, emphasizing climate-smart solutions and pest/disease control.

The training included sessions on good agricultural practices, hybrid tomato varieties, and financial access. The project plans to train 3,000 tomato farmers across Kano, Lagos, and Ogun states to transition to sustainable and profitable farming practices.
