Ogun PDP Chairman Abayomi Tella Denies Executive Dissolution

The Ogun State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), under the leadership of Chairman Abayomi Tella, has officially refuted claims regarding the dissolution of its state executive committee. Tella described these reports as unfounded and a "figment of imagination" aimed at creating confusion and discord among party members.

He emphasized that the current state executive, which was elected and inaugurated on September 24, 2024, remains the legitimate leadership of the party. The statement was made available to journalists on Friday, following an earlier announcement by Moham, who claimed the dissolution of the Ogun State executive committee and the establishment of a caretaker committee to oversee party affairs.

Tella characterized the purported dissolution as unconstitutional and insisted that the party's leadership is recognized and ratified by the national executive committee. He urged loyal members to support the party and resist any attempts to create disaffection within the PDP in Ogun State.
