Ogun PDP Chair Abayomi Tella Opposes Committee Dissolution

Abayomi Tella, the chairman of the Ogun State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has firmly stated that the state executive committee will remain intact until 2028. This declaration came in response to a recent announcement regarding the dissolution of the Ogun State executive committee, which involved the appointment of a 22-member caretaker committee led by Jungudo Muham.

Tella criticized the dissolution as an attempt to sow discord within the PDP family in Ogun State. He emphasized that the current executive committee, elected on September 24, 2024, is a legitimate body recognized by the national executive committee of the party.

Tella assured party members that no dissolution would occur and that the executive committee would participate in the 2027 elections, expressing confidence in their ability to win. He also acknowledged the leadership's reconciliation efforts at the national level, stressing the need for unity within the party.
