Ogun Senator Salisu Praises Tinubu's Education Reforms

Shuaib Salisu, the senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT and Cyber Security, commended President Bola Tinubu’s education reforms for enhancing students' access to tertiary education. During an engagement with various student groups, including the National Association of Nigerian Students and Ogun Joint Campus Committee, Salisu noted that the Student Loan Fund introduced by the Tinubu administration has significantly decreased dropout rates by providing tuition support and stipends.

He stated that industrial actions in tertiary institutions have also reduced, allowing students to better predict their academic timelines. Salisu praised the increased funding for the Tertiary Education Trust Fund as a catalyst for infrastructure development in educational institutions.

He encouraged students to prioritize the future of the country over partisan politics in the upcoming 2027 elections and called for continued support for the All Progressives Congress. Olabode Faruq, Chairman of NANS Ogun JCC, acknowledged Salisu's impactful contributions to the student community.
