Ogun State Woman Arrested for Smuggling Ethanol to Inmate

On September 26, 2026, at approximately 15:50 hours, Shobowale Balikis was apprehended by vigilant officials at the Ibara Custodial Center in Ogun State while attempting to smuggle ethanol concealed in a bottled water pack intended for an inmate. Following her arrest, Balikis was handed over to the Nigerian Police for further investigation and prosecution.
