Ohanaeze Ndigbo Drives PVC Registration in Abia State

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide organized a rally in Aba, Abia State, to encourage traders, youths, and other community members to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise. Chukwuemeka Okwuonu, the president of Ohanaeze, stated that it is crucial for Igbo adults aged 18 and above to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to ensure their voices are heard in the electoral process.

He stressed that no Igbo parent should allow their adult children to miss this opportunity, as the Igbo population is significant and can influence the political landscape in Nigeria. Okwuonu declared that the Igbo community would begin rewarding individuals who engage in political positions, aiming to rectify past electoral misuses.

He urged Igbo youths to avoid relying solely on social media for political engagement, emphasizing that real electoral power comes from being registered and voting at polling units.
