Okowa Urges South South Students to Engage in Elections

On Wednesday, former Delta State Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa called on students from the South South region to actively participate in Nigeria's electoral processes, specifically supporting President Bola Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" agenda.

During a courtesy visit from the South South Nation Student Management Council, led by Mr. Okoh Oghenetega, Okowa encouraged students to mobilize for permanent voter card acquisition and maintain electoral participation.

He praised Tinubu for his commitment to student welfare and described him as a genuine friend to the educational sector, citing significant infrastructural developments and the introduction of a student loan scheme. Okowa acknowledged the delegation's visit and highlighted the importance of consistent engagement at institutional levels.

He commended Tinubu's economic reforms, which have begun to yield positive outcomes for Nigeria's fiscal health, and noted the increase in federal revenue attributed to these reforms.
