Okpebholo Blames Saboteurs for Edo State Insecurity

Governor Mondai Okpebholo of Edo State has blamed saboteurs for the ongoing insecurity in the state, stating that their actions are intended to frustrate the reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. During a campaign event for the Edo Central Progress Congress (APC) on July 11, Okpebholo highlighted the need for a united front against crime, particularly focusing on kidnapping and violent crime.

He assured farmers that measures would be taken to ensure their safety, allowing them to return to their farms. Okpebholo called for the collaboration of security agencies and relevant stakeholders to protect lives and properties, thereby ensuring peace and stability across Edo State.

He also urged APC members to mobilize support for the party's candidates in the upcoming local government elections, emphasizing the importance of grassroots development and the direct access of local councils to funds for community growth.
