Okpebholo Swears in 18 Edo LG Chairpersons with Directives

On Friday, Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo inaugurated 18 newly elected Local Government Area chairpersons, emphasizing their responsibility to deliver measurable development and ensure residents benefit from their governance. He administered the oath of office and urged the chairpersons to reject corruption and uphold integrity, stating that public office is a "sacred trust." Okpebholo expressed optimism that their tenure would lead to greater development, peace, and prosperity in the state.

He encouraged them to complement the state's development efforts and ensure the impact of government is felt in every community. Gabriel Iduseri, the Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, responded on behalf of the new chairpersons, committing to provide transparent and people-focused leadership.

He stated their readiness to align their programs with the governor's SHINE AGENDA and the Federal Government's Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to bring development to their local governments.
