Okpebholo Inaugurates New Edo State Government Boards

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo inaugurated four government bodies at the Government House in Benin City. The bodies include the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Consumer Protection Committee, and Edo State Rural Access Roads Agency.

Okpebholo charged the appointees to serve with integrity, humility, and commitment to public service, emphasizing their responsibilities to both the state and God. He urged them to prioritize the interests of Edo residents over personal considerations and to work collaboratively for meaningful results.

The chairman of the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Very Rev. Fr. Alfred Aronegbe Agbonlahor, and the chairman of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Musa Muhammad Uduimoh, expressed gratitude for their appointments and pledged to promote the welfare of pilgrims. Iyamu Osaro, chairman of the Consumer Protection Committee, also committed to protecting consumers and ensuring fairness in commercial activities.

Momodu Oghenakhoghie Goodluck was appointed as the Director-General of the Edo State Rural Access Roads Agency.
