Okumagba Advocates Peace Among Warri Ethnic Groups

Olorogun Bernard Okumagba, the former Delta State Commissioner for Finance and Chairman of the Warri Urhobo APC Leadership Council, called for peace and mutual respect among the indigenous ethnic nationalities of Warri Federal Constituency, namely Itsekiri, Ijaw, and Urhobo. In a statement issued on Saturday, August 22, 2026, he highlighted the importance of peaceful coexistence to focus energies on development and improving livelihoods in Warri.

Okumagba, who holds traditional chieftaincy titles in Okere-Urhobo Kingdom and Agbarha Warri Kingdom, urged the communities to resolve disagreements peacefully and work collaboratively to attract infrastructure projects, revitalize ports, and create employment opportunities. He emphasized the need for unity, inter-ethnic harmony, and love among the various ethnic groups, encouraging all to commit to promoting peace, progress, and prosperity in Warri.
