Olubunmi Ojo Transforms Nigeria Immigration Services

Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, serving as the Honourable Minister of Interior, has spearheaded extensive reforms within the Nigeria Immigration Service, significantly improving passport services. Under his leadership, obtaining or renewing passports has become more efficient and less susceptible to corruption.

Ojo's reforms are characterized by a strong emphasis on digital transformation, replacing manual processes with technology-driven systems. This initiative has led to the resolution of a backlog of approximately 2.5 million requests related to the National Identification Number (NIN), which has been crucial for passport processing.
