Ombugadu Secures PDP Governorship Ticket for Nasarawa

Dr. Emmanuel Ombugadu has been declared the governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State for the 2027 elections.

The announcement was made by Abdulmaleek Danga, the chairman of the PDP governorship primary election committee, who described the selection process as peaceful, free, fair, and credible. Ombugadu thanked party members for their unwavering support and noted that his emergence followed extensive consultations with party elders and stakeholders.

He introduced Yahaya Ohinoyi as his running mate for the 2027 elections and emphasized the need for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to facilitate the nomination process. Ombugadu also stated that the PDP would fully participate in the upcoming elections, particularly in the Nasarawa North senatorial district, and expressed confidence in winning the governorship seat in 2027.

He plans to commence a statewide tour to launch his campaign and build upon the party's 2019-2023 manifesto for the upcoming elections.
