Joi Omewa expressed her delight after scoring her first goals for the Super Falcons of Nigeria in a 3-0 victory against Senegal during an international friendly. Omewa scored a brace in the second half, breaking the deadlock just three minutes after the interval with a header from a cross by Shukurat Oladipo.

She doubled Nigeria's lead seven minutes later, showcasing her strength and composure against the Senegalese defense. The match marked the second friendly between the two teams, following Nigeria's 2-1 win in their first encounter.

Coach Justin Madugu made several changes to the squad for this match, and Asisat Oshoala added a third goal in the 66th minute, sealing a comprehensive victory. This result provided an encouraging performance for Madugu's side ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where Nigeria aims to extend their record to an 11th continental title.
