Tinubu Inaugurates Nigeria Anti-Doping Centre Board

Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for inaugurating the technical board of the Nigeria Anti-Doping Centre (NADC) in Abuja. This event took place on a Thursday following the enactment of the National Anti-Doping Act 2025, which demonstrates the federal government's commitment to promoting clean sports and protecting athletes.

Omidiran described the establishment of the NADC as a landmark achievement that will strengthen integrity and transparency in Nigeria's sports sector, aligning it with international standards set by the World Anti-Doping Code. She emphasized that the centre will serve as a critical mechanism to ensure Nigerian athletes compete fairly and maintain the country's image in international competitions.

Omidiran also highlighted the importance of strict adherence to anti-doping regulations and ethical standards, urging the newly inaugurated board to fulfill its responsibilities with professionalism and transparency.
