Ondo State Launches Promotion for 3,000 Workers

The Ondo State government has commenced a promotion exercise for over 3,000 workers in the state public service, as announced by the State Head of Service, Bayo Philip, who flagged off the exercise on Monday in Akure. This initiative follows a three-year wait period for promotions.

Philip emphasized that workers found deserving of promotion will be invited for interviews, and he urged them to maintain good conduct and uphold ethical standards throughout the process. The exercise is expected to be completed within the shortest possible time, with the support of Governor Lucki Aiyedatiwa, who has approved the annual exercise without skipping any years.

The Head of Service also mentioned that the office would reciprocate the governor's gesture by ensuring efficient service delivery. Olufunk Dare Atuns, the permanent secretary, commended the leadership of Bayo Philip for the early commencement of the exercise and acknowledged the governor's prioritization of public servant welfare.
