Violence and Intimidation Mar Local Government Election in Ondo State

The Ondo LG poll in Akoko North-West witnessed violence and intimidation, with allegations of interference by the Ministry of State. Residents claimed that the violence stemmed from attempts to manipulate the election process in favor of the ruling party, APC.

The disruption led to clashes between residents and security forces, resulting in injuries and protests. Calls for an investigation into the Ministry's involvement in anti-party activities were made by various stakeholders, including Lucki Aiyedatiwa and Gani Muham.
