Ondo Police Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers in Owo

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested two suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate involved in the abduction of Abubakar Abdullahim at Molege, near Owo, Ondo State. The suspects, Adamu Rabiu and Haruna Likita, were apprehended in separate operations by the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad.

Rabiu was arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, in collaboration with the Oyo State Police Command, while Likita was captured around Ipele, near Owo. Preliminary investigations revealed links between the suspects and the kidnapping incident that occurred on August 1, 2026.

Both suspects admitted their involvement during interrogation. The police are expanding their investigation to identify additional individuals connected to the syndicate and to dismantle their operational network.

Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the group and prevent criminal activities in Ondo State. The suspects are expected to be charged in court after the investigation concludes.
