Onigbongbo LCDA Partners with Brampton for Youth Development

Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, led by Chairman Moyosor Adebanjo, has partnered with the City of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, to enhance youth development and sustainable economic growth. This partnership was initiated following an official visit from a Brampton delegation, which included Mayor Patrick Brown and legislative leaders.

The collaboration aims to establish a municipal institute to create cooperative opportunities for innovative community development. Key initiatives discussed include a recycling program, knowledge-sharing to improve waste management, and access to mentorship and technology exchange for young innovators and entrepreneurs in Onigbongbo.

The delegation also engaged with Brampton's business innovation startup incubator, known as Bhive. Shafqat Ali, a senior Canadian government official, expressed support for municipal development initiatives and interest in strengthening future partnerships with Nigeria.

The visit concluded with discussions on investment opportunities and potential programs focusing on artificial intelligence and digital exchange.
