Onigbongbo LCDA Partners with Brampton for Youth Development

Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, led by Chairman Moyosor Adebanjo, has partnered with the City of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, to enhance youth development and promote sustainable economic growth. This partnership was initiated following an official visit by a delegation from Brampton, which included Mayor Patrick Brown and other council leaders.

The collaboration aims to establish a municipal institute that creates opportunities for cooperation in innovative community development. Key initiatives discussed include a recycling program, knowledge-sharing programs to improve waste management, and access to mentorship and incubation programs for young entrepreneurs.

The delegation also engaged with Brampton's business innovation startup incubator, Bhive, to explore technological exchange initiatives. Shafqat Ali, a senior Canadian government official, expressed support for municipal development initiatives and interest in strengthening future partnerships with Nigeria.

The visit culminated in discussions about investment opportunities and potential collaborations in areas such as artificial intelligence and environmental sustainability.
