Nollywood Soundtrack Icon Onos Brisibi Passes Away at 55

Onos Brisibi, a prominent figure in Nollywood and a celebrated gospel singer, died on March 23, 2026, at the age of 55 following a long illness. Her passing was publicly announced on Instagram, where veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo paid tribute to her contributions to the film industry, particularly her work on soundtracks for films like "Domitilla" and "Blood Money." Mofe-Damijo described Brisibi as a beloved family member and a devoted Christian whose music touched many lives.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah, her mother, siblings, and extended family, all of whom will cherish her memory. Born on November 20, 1970, in Aladja, Udu, Delta State, she was the daughter of Apostle Ambros Oproz Brisibi and Deaconess Mari Koko Brisibi.
