Ooni Commends Governors, Urges Peaceful Osun Elections

On Thursday, the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, commended Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo for their people-centered leadership during a courtesy visit at his palace in Ile-Ife. He highlighted their humility and accessibility as key attributes that have allowed them to make significant impacts in their states.

The Ooni urged all political leaders and supporters in Osun State to prioritize peace and stability above partisan interests as the August 15, 2026 governorship election approaches. He emphasized that the peace of Osun State is more important than any political ambition.

Additionally, he praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his economic reforms, which he described as fundamental for Nigeria's growth. Governor Ododo, speaking on behalf of both governors, stated they visited to pay homage and to mobilize support for the APC candidate in the upcoming election.
