Ibidapo-Obe Technical University Launched in Osun State

The Ibidapo-Obe Technical University was officially launched in Ilesa, Osun State, during the 3rd Biennial Symposium, attended by notable dignitaries including Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Owa Obokun Ijesaland Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup. They extolled the late Prof.

Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe for his immense contributions to university education and society. The event featured remarks from various speakers, including Chief Tunde Fanimokun, who announced a personal donation of N10 billion towards the university's establishment, which requires a total of N20 billion for its initiation.

The Ooni expressed delight in the university's vision to nurture a global workforce and commended the late professor's widow for her commitment to preserving his legacy. The event took place at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island and attracted numerous dignitaries, including Dr.

Olawale Babalakin, who represented Mr. Tayo Babalakin, and Prof.

Rahamon Ad Bello, the chairman of the university's project implementation committee.
